Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Breathtaking Views! Fog lingers among the forested hills of Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which spans the southern Appalachians along the border between Tennessee and North Carolina. Water and hydrocarbons exuded by trees produce the filmy "smoke" that gives the mountains their name.

Two things I fear....Chair Lifts and Ferris Wheels. This was the only way to the Skybridge. I really wanted to go. I am not afraid of heights just the equipment. Very much worth the trip up to see and the chair lift was smooth. The views from the bridge were spectacular. Check out the video! Heard a bear below us!

A fun place to taste the "shine" where it is made. They have the "Hollar" where the shine is distilled with tours, The "Barrelhouse" where they have their whiskey, and "the Barn" at the Island at Pigeon Forge. Our taste host at The "Barrelhouse was PG he made a show of the tastings, Daisy did the same at the "Hollar". 

This is a small amusement park in Pigeon Forge with shops throughout. Admission is FREE! Parking is FREE! They also provide Free tram service from the parking lots! The fountain show is worth the stop. Rocking chairs surround the fountain to enjoy the show. Sample in the  video.

Absolutely worth the price of admission. Learn the complete history of the Titanic starting at the building of it. Walk the replica of the Grand Stairc You receive a passenger ticket upon entry and at the end you learn if you are a survivor. Allow 2 hours to tour. Photos are now allowed inside the museum but no video. 

Take a ride with me up and down the Mt Washington Auto Road. Time lapse on the way up real time on the way down. Climb 4000 feet in 7 miles. Narrow road, no guard rails with 1000 foot drop offs at the edge. Winds gusting over 60 mph at the top.  We were in the clouds at mile 4. This is a must try adventure.
